About

A family firm, painting Bath since 1998.

Tom started Dustsheet with a van and two ladders. Today there are nine of us, and Tom is still on site most days.

Our story

We named it after the first thing we put down and the last thing we pick up.

Tom trained as an apprentice on the Royal Crescent in the 1980s, stripping and repainting sash windows. He learned early that the paint is the easy bit. The care you take with someone’s home is what they remember.

Ellie joined in 2012 to run colour and quotes, and the firm has grown slowly since, mostly by word of mouth. We train our own apprentices and still use the same supplier on Walcot Street that Tom used in 1998.

We’re members of the Painting & Decorating Association, carry £5 million public liability insurance and guarantee every job.
